A No-No

You are, you see,
A physical no-no for me,
For my body sways in a sensual potpourri
Attuned to my mind’s lovemaking fantasy

You are, you see,
A medical no-no for me,
For the pain within that cries in want of a we
Cannot be healed to a manageable degree.

You are, you see,
A spiritual no-no for me,
For I’m not a believer in adultery
Yet my craving for you just won’t let me be.

You are, you see,
A relationship no-no for me,
For loving you from afar has stolen my jubilee
As I lack the nearness that fills my inner self with glee.

You are, you see,
An emotional no-no for me,
For my spirit to remain totally free
I must lock up my heart and toss away the key.

You are, you see,
A financial no-no for me,
For the cost incurred is a phenomenal fee
And it’s a high price to be paid both by you and by me.
