Given on the Wings of Love
At a local tavern known as The Pit Stop Lounge
Gathered together on a cool December night
Patrons, supporters, friends and loved ones abound
Our mission to ease a family's woeful plight.
Here for friends, Lee and Wendy and their family
Who just this past week lost their home to a fire
And whose daily lives are now changed drastically
By these circumstances nearly hopeless and dire.
Though much of value was lost in a fiery flame
By the end of this evening you shall know indeed
Your time of distress is met with modest acclaim
And we'll do our best to fill your family's needs.
We want you to know from the bottom of our hearts
That we're here to help you through the holidays
With this gift of fellowship we hope to impart
Just a bit o' sunshine to hold grey clouds at bay.
We've no doubt at all it's just a matter of time
A gift will be given you on the wings of love
Out of the throes of this disaster you shall climb
Godspeed on your journey, gain strength from Him above.
