Taboo Once again I tired o' bein' lonely 'n' blue Stepped into the world o' sensual taboo Jumped into a bed with a friend just for sex Knowin' all too well love would be the hex. Under a spell we broke a bond o' trust Stolen moments fed appetites o' lust Secret lovers doomed to be guilt-ridden As from his wife our tryst was well hidden. We were enamored one with another Conscience-smitten by wanting each other For over a year forbidden treasure we'd steal Giving into emotion not rational but real. Unable to live under a blanket o' betrayal Reflections in the mirror an unfaithful portrayal We've opted to play out the cards that we dealt In spite o' the intimate attraction that we felt.
