Our 1st Challenge

Since each of our work
will be posted on a page,
I think we should start off with something
that tells a little bit about ourselves.
Keep in mind,
it can take any form and does not have to be a poem.

All About Me

Born into a family,
of "Yours, Mine, and Ours",
we fought like cats and dogs,
but played for hours, on hours.

Divorce ended our family fun.
No more trips in a cramped Motorhome.
I moved with my brother to the Stockton Valley.
My mother liked canning, so veggie fields we did comb.

I grew up privileged,
but was taught compassion for all,
and worked in soup kitchens,
Red Cross, and the Salvation Army did call.

I married not once, but thrice.
Son, Kyle, was born with hubby one.
Hubby three was my childhood love,
and blessed me with Brianna, so full of fun.

I am theatrical, musical, and love the arts.
I sew, cross stitch, build, paint, and play.
My life in the country, I do love,
with dogs, cats, and various critters, I must say.

On my hill, I have sunrises and sunsets.
Quiet moments, gardening, and a sky full of stars.
My life I would not trade for anything.
No more city life for me, with tons of cars.

Though I live thousands of miles from my family,
I still keep in touch with family gossip, you might say.
They love their big cities, and I love my quiet country.
So here I will live, and with the animals, I will play.
