Spring 2006

For our newest challenge,
write what Springtime means to you
in any form that you choose to use.

The first line must contain the words:
spring, flowers, hope.
Somewhere in the piece these words should be used:
birds, youth, season, lovers, yesterday.

As spring arrives and the flowers bloom
Hope is restored for life anew.
The grass is turning green & the buds are growing on the trees
The children will soon be watching bugs down on their knees.

The birds are singing their beautiful music
Making you remember you youth of yesterday.
Hop schotch, hide n' seek, jacks, & jumping rope
Each day ended with a bar of soap.

As the warm weather arrives of the season
There may be neither rythem or reason
Why you see more lovers about.
Sure brings a smile to your face, no doubt.

So get out 'n' about and enjoy the sun
Get out 'n' play and have some fun
Watch the birds, smell the flowers
Lay on your back make shapes in the clouds for hours.
