Summer 2007

This is a free association word prompt.
You write whatever comes to mind as soon as you read the words,
then write a poem or short story using them.
Here is the word list and my response:

heart-broken beyond repair
crying-not enough tissue
book-pages o' my life
explosive-energy at its limit
hungry-for food for my spirit
pictures-hide the memories
dogs-unconditional love
house-this place I now call home
writing-words o' my heart
envelope-sealed for safekeepin'

Sealed for Safekeepin'

using my response to the listed words.
(response will be underlined in the story)

Spring 2006

For our newest challenge,
write what Springtime means to you
in any form that you choose to use.

The first line must contain the words:
spring, flowers, hope.
Somewhere in the piece these words should be used:
birds, youth, season, lovers, yesterday.

Sun Kissed Spring

The blossomin' flowers o' the sun kissed spring
'tis new hope for the gentle spirit they bring.

The animals they pair off as lovers do
strollin' the lawn arm in arm 'n' two by two.

Mornin' frost is replaced with droplets o' rain
while an agin' soul feels like a youth again.

Like migratin' birds that in fall flew away
winter is now the season o' yesterday.

March 2006

Take these words and be creative.
Turn them into a story,
a poem or even a puzzle...

Leprechaun
Green beer
Blarney stone
Gold
Shamrock
Music

All words must be used in your endeavor!

Dance o' the Leprechaun

I think it's high time I put on me fanciest dancin' shoes
Head to me local pub 'n' play whatever music I choose.

I'll put on me leprechaun garb with me pocket full o' gold
Order up a mug o' green beer unless out of it they've sold.

I'll latch onto one o' the local 'n' finest shamrock queens
And seduce her with flirtation the like she has never seen.

I'm certain since I've been kissed with the luck o' the blarney stone
Tis a bet that I'll not be headed back to me home alone.
