Cat Litter

Tho we don't generally advertise specific brand names & such
we gladly share this recommendation
and surely hope it helps our cat lovers out there!

The BESTEST BESTEST litter out there
is that Tidy Cat crystals.
Its a bag of litter but it looks like crystals.
The WHOLE bag lasts for 30 days!
And I PROMISE you will not smell a thing!
Its like $8.00 at walmart for a big bag and 1/2 the bag
will last for 30 days
so you are essentially getting 2 months worth for 8 bucks.
I really hope you try this!
It solved ALLLLLLLLLLL my problems when I had 3 kitties!

Dog Urine Stain & Odor
Recipe for Removal from Carpets

This homemade method for cleaning dog urine/odors
from carpets is easy and inexpensive.
The recipe below
removes dog urine smell and stains from carpets and rugs.
It also works on cat urine odors and human urine odors
such as toddler pee or baby pee.

INGREDIENTS:
Baking Soda
White Vinegar
Dishwashing Detergent
3% Hydrogen Peroxide

DIRECTIONS:
On new, wet areas, soak up the urine very well,
or remove as much stool as you can
careful to not scrape it "into" the carpet.
In a plastic disposable container,
mix 15 oz. of 3% hydrogen peroxide,
2 level teaspoons of baking soda,
a few drops of dishwashing soap,
and mix well.
Pour it slowly on the affected area,
soaking the carpet and padding well.
It may bubble a bit, this is normal.
Let it dry completely.
If there is white residue from the baking soda,
don't worry, this will vacuum up.
Do not store any of this solution,
dispose of any that is left.

Next add 2 cups of white vinegar to 1 gallon of water,
and wash the area deeply and well.
The smell of vinegar will disappear as it evaporates.

For whatever reason your dog
has peed on the carpet the outcome is the same.
A smelly carpet!
When your dog pees on the carpet
it leaves an unpleasant odor
that your dog may repeatedly return to.
Avoid using ammonia based products to clean dog urine.
One of the ingredients of dog urine is ammonia
and he may well be encouraged to re-offend in the same area.
Remember, your dog's sense of smell
is a hundred times better than yours.

TOP 10 DOG FILMS

Old Yeller (1957)
It's not hip but even after 50 years,
Old Yeller is still "the best doggone dog in the West."
That’s what earns it the top spot in our top 10 list.
The heart of the story
is the adorable love affair
between Travis and his beloved yellow dog.
The two see each other through thick and thin,
until ultimately Travis must make a heart-wrenching decision.
It's not a happy ending,
but there's something magical about this movie
that makes it worth it after all.

which tells the story of a poor boy's dog,

Jack London's classic story from 1903 about Buck,
a dog kidnapped from his home in California
and taken to the Yukon where he is mistreated
until a prospector discovers him and relates to his situation.
Gold was found in Alaska,
the rush to obtain it required a strong constitution
and many dogs to do the work that horses usually did in the states.
The environment bred harsh attitudes.
Also in the testing of ones mettle one finds their true potential.
Buck (larger than most dogs) goes through many lives, trials,
and tribulations finally realizing his potential.
On the way he learns many concepts
from surprise, to deceit, and cunning;
he also learns loyalty, devotion, and love.
As he is growing he feels the call of the wild.

the heroic hound gets nowhere with uptight Dad.
But when a beastly veterinarian makes Beethoven
the target of an unspeakable animal experiment,
Dad becomes the only hope
for saving the Newton's furriest family member.

and Mike Nosko, a determined overachiever,
brave arctic temperatures, exhaustion and difficult terrain
to find purpose and self-knowledge in The Last Great Race On Earth.

because it belongs to Judd Travers, a local hunter.
After Shiloh is mistreated again, he runs away and returns to Marty.
Knowing his father will once again make him bring Shiloh back to Judd,
he makes a home for the dog in an old shed up the hill
from the Prestons' house and hides him from his family.
His secret is soon discovered when a stray attacks the dog one night
and he must turn to his father for help.

witnessed only by Hooch, the victim's equally cranky mutt.
After animal control officers threaten
to send Hooch to that big kennel in the sky,
Turner adopts him with the notion of using him to nab the killer,
and after a rocky start man and dog become best friends.
